Gallery 2007

26th November 2007 - Ayr Races Diamond Mick ran at Ayr [Handicap Chase (Class 3)  (4yo+,0-130) 17 fences  2m4f] , with Brian Harding onboard, on soft ground. He was pulled up three from home.. gallery of photos here

21st November 2007: Scarvagh Soltaire ran her very first race, a bumper (over 2miles and 110y on soft ground) at Hexham with Tom Messenger onboard. She was very 'green' and finished in 11th place. Photo gallery here..

17th November 2007: Scarvagh Diamond ran at Uttoxeter in a Novice Chase (class 4) over 3 miles with Tony Dobbin onboard. Unfortunately she fell at the 9th. Photo gallery here..

4th November, 2007 and Diamond Mick runs at Carlisle in a two mile novice handicap chase. Mick finishes in 8th place.. photo gallery here.

Border Television star Gilly Fraser kindly opened our Exhibition & sale of Paintings on Sunday 30th September in the Chaplaincy Centre at the BGH.

Thank you to all the people who came along to view the exhibition and those who made purchases to help us raise £12,107 for our branch, where every penny will be spent supporting people affected by MS in the Borders. THANK YOU!

 

29th September 2007 and Harriet Graham, the trainer of our MS racehorse, Scarvagh Solitaire, held an open day at her yard where we saw the horses working on the new 'all weather' track, toured the stables and facilities and enjoyed a superb lunch! Photos Here..

26th August 2007 and the Border MS Racing Syndicate is invited to A Parade of Horses at Greystoke..

FUN RUN 2007

This years Borders MS Fun Run, sponsored by JS Crawford, took place on Sunday 10th June starting and finishing at Melrose Rugby Club.

Participants enjoyed the three mile circular route around the beautiful Borders town and on a lovely sunny day. Many thanks to all who helped and participated in this event.

Scarvagh Diamond ran at Sedgefield in a Mares only novices hurdle race (class 4), 2m 4f, with Brian Harding in the saddle. Zara finished in second place.. Racing Post ' Scarvagh Diamond put a poor run at Haydock behind her with a decent enough effort in second on ground that perhaps was a shade too quick for her.' photo gallery here..

Borders Branch Committee..

Recently the Borders Branch of the MS Society gave thanks to three committee members who have retired from our committee.

The committee organised a lunch and presented the ladies with rose bushes.

Many thanks to Clova, Anne and Dawn for their many  years of dedication  to the branch and to people affected by MS in the Borders - Thank you!

Januray 2007: Scarvagh Diamond (Zara) ran at Haydock on 6th January in the 1.45pm mares only hurdle race finishing in first place! Gallery here..
