Borders MS Racing Club Activities...

On June 17th - 19th some members from the Borders MS Racing Syndicate and members of the Borders Branch went across to Northern Ireland to visit the Scarvagh House Stud where Diamond Jim comes from. They have very kindly offered us another horse for the club - watch this space for more details soon!
Ireland trip
The hospitality from Scarvagh was superb and we had a fantastic weekend. We were shown around the stud, introduced to the stallions, saw the mares and foals out in the fields and generally saw the workings of the place.

On the Saturday we were guests of the stud at the Down Royal Races. It was a superb weekend and we would like to thank everyone at the stud, especially Caroline and Geoffrey, for making it possible. I had a fantastic weekend ~ thank you :-)

A selection of photographs are in the gallery and when we have a final total for the amount raised I'll post it here!

This beautiful painting of Diamond Mick was auctioned at the Fashion Show and raised £270 also a 'hobby horse' signed by 'famous' jockeys was also auctioned off and it raised £100. Many thanks to all those who contributed to the evening!
