YMS Background Information
If you wondering what on earth is Y.M.S. then read on…

The Committee of the Borders Branch of the MS Society meets once a month and it was at one of these meetings that the question was raised ‘What are we doing for younger people affected by MS?' It was felt that working aged people and those who are perhaps newly diagnosed may have specific issues and we wanted to find a way to support this group of people.

We started the group of ‘Younger people affected by MS' (YMS) with a Lunch in St. Boswells in July 2002. Since then we have had mostly casual social evenings in the pub. We have also had a couple of afternoon workshops and speakers. We try to meet in a different location each time, as we are all live in different parts of the Borders. The YMS group is open to anyone who affected by MS including partners, carers and friends. You do not have to be a member of the MS Society to come along to any of our events.

I am always looking for feedback and suggestions on how you would like this group to develop.
When would you like to meet? Daytime, evening, weekend, weekday?
What would you like to do? Social, speakers quiz nights, other???
All suggestions are gratefully received! Email us :-)

DONM.. Please check the What's On page for details of the next meeting.
